period and eating?

Question Posted Tuesday March 27 2007, 7:55 pm

14/f

since arond the middle of feburary ive been eating healthier and trying to give up sweets and junk. the past half a month ive actually been eating 3 meals and healthy snacks inbetween. i gave up sweets for lent and i dont eat any junk food anymore. i am eating well and i havent cheated at all. i think i lost a few pounds because my scale said i was around 120 but now its more like 115ish? i also have a thinner stomach and a few friends told me i looked skinner which is good. im just curious though, i havnet goten my period in over a month. i got it last feburary 15ish and its not here yet. my period is really weird at times, like one day it will be heavy and the other its not even therre (its normal for me though). but its really late and im curious that it might be because of my new eating style?

Hi
Its nothing to worry about. Because you are only just 14 you probably have an irregular timing. And your eating style does NOT affect your perioud. it sounds like you eat healthy. Just remember to excersise too. Some people dont even get their period for 3 months. If you still dont have it after 3 months i would go see a doctor

Well, eating can definately affect your period but what you're doing shouldn't affect it too much. considering that you're only 14, your periods are bound to be very irregular. I sometimes had times where mine would skip 2 months at a time.

If you're picking up on exercise, lack of sleep, stress, differed eating habits, your period will be affected. If your period doesn't come in another 2 months [by the end of May], go see a doctor and see what's up
