When you go to a courthouse for a wedding, what is the actually procedure. Like, what questions do they ask you before issuing a marriage license, do they usually already have a justice of the peace there, do you just need to sign the license for it to be valid or does there actually need to be a ceremony, etc. If anyone who's actually had a courthouse wedding could just tell me about their experience, that would be greatly appreciated.
Then a judge is usually who marries you and its over in less than 5 minutes. Me & My husbands parents came along so I don't know about the witnesses. I'm sure there are secretaries or clerks around who would witness for you. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

Try going to a search engine and typing in "courthouse wedding in _" or "_ courthouse wedding procedure", filling in _ with the name of your state and you should get all the information you need. [ xokristabelle's advice column | Ask xokristabelle A Question ]
