i do practice i just do not get any better any advice would be helpful.

Maybe, it's just not your calling, we all have things we're good and bad at. If you make an effort and practice, and your teacher still doesn't appreciate it -- don't worry about it. Because it's not even worth getting upset over, some teachers are just like that.
