Wet Hair Straightener

Question Posted Friday March 16 2007, 6:49 pm

Right now I use a 2inch ceramic Chi straightener, but I'm thinking of switching to one of those straighteners you can use while your hair is still wet. (Because it takes my hair forever to blowdry, and I'm tired of rushing) Do these straighteners work as good as normal ones? And what's a good one I could get?

they dont work as well as your chi would. my chi works just fine and my hair is really soft after using it. if you got a wet to dry one, your hair would be more dry than soft.

I have a wet-dry straightner but when i tried using it when my hair was wet..my hair didnt turn out as soft as it would if it was dry. It turns out stick-straight, but doesnt feel as soft and smooth as it normally would.

The straightners that dry your hair as you straighten it will majorly dry out your hair. My friend got one and it made her hair extremely dry and gave her bad spilt ends. I wouldn't recommend getting one, but the final choice is up to you.
hope this helps!

if you have a straightener dont waste that
keep that and use it
just make sure you use conditioner
it helps dry faster
but towel dry 1st then blow dry
then brush through then straighten
it will come out with better results
plus
those wet straighteners are bad in a way cuz its electric and when water touches something electirc
that could cause a shock or a fire
so its not good and it will fry your hair wayyyyyy more than a regular straightener

so if you have wet hair its best to dry it cuz fire can happen any time

hope i helped !!

DiNOxTHUNDER answered Friday March 16 2007, 7:34 pm:
right now i own a "Wet2Style" & "Wet2Straight" straighter.
they both work extremely well for me,and are made by Remington.
and they dont damage my hair.
my hair isnt that thick, but its average and it takes me about 10 minutes to do my hair if i use one of them.
you can set them to use when your hair is wet, damp,or dry.
a few swipes over your hair and your done.
they come on different sizes & styles.
like the Style one has curved plates so it straightens and styles, and the Straight makes your hair pin straight.
you can buy both for about $25.00 each at a store like walmart.
good luck.
=)

i def. think you should not get that one that straightens you hair while its wet b/c it could damage your hair! Im sure if you toke a shower maybe 10 mintues earlier you wouldnt have to rush and your hair wont get ruined. hope that helps C&L=)
