my favorite thing to give my friends is gift baskets. You can always chose just what they like to go in them. Like one time, my friend who is like OBSESSED with turtles, I gave her a huge basket filled with stupid kid "I see the green turtle" books and pencils and games. Everything to do with turtles. Then another time I gave my friend who likes movies I gave her a blockbuster gift card with a basket of candies and popcorn and drinks. Also, if you don't like that idea, make one of those really really neat scrapbooks, you know, like the ones that take a long time to make. I have made three for my friends so far and they REALLY love them.

My standard gifts(for girls) is handmade jewelry. If she's you're best friend, take some time, knot her a friendship bracelet. It'll show you were thinking of her, and took the time to make it. I'd rather have that than any expensive gift. It shows how much you care when you handmake something.
