friends? my name is ren and i am 14/f and i go to a very very small school- there are only 18 kids including me. i am in 8th grade. i have only about 5 girls in that class who are my "friends". lately none of them has been acting like friends to me though- and dont get me wrong i do not have any social problems at all, i have been to 4 other schools and i have 3 older very popular sisters. i get spacey sometimes but not that much at all i just have those 'times' everyone gets. well two of my friends have been talin about me behind my back and constantly teasing me in front of me and my other friends are starting to join in. and now everyone says things like "this is easy i mean ren got it" and "ren got it- its a miracle' or "omg you dont get it and ren did thats just sad". the boys taunt me all the time and my friends laugh and start to encourage them. i could hang out with the other girls- the class biothes who decide who cool or not and all they do is gossip. have any advice?

I'm sorry you go to school with a bunch of immature girls. If this taunting/teasing is taking place during class, I'd suggest taking it up with your teacher. After class, tell her the other girls' comments are getting to you & you'd appreciate it if she could step in & do something about it. If nothing changes, then you should go to your principal. You're in school to get an education - not to worry about cliques or other girls' opinions. I think it'd be mature of you to just ignore their comments. Focus on your school work & don't give them the time of your day. All they want is a reaction & rise out of you, so don't give it to them. Don't associate yourself with anyone who has no respect or who judges who's "cool" or not. When you get out of high school, you'll realize none of that stuff ever mattered & it was completely immature to begin with. Try to make friends out of school! Don't settle for less than you deserve! ]
