I have scoliosis in my upper back and I have torn ligaments there as well. It have gone to physical therapy for my upper back and everything is running smoothly again. But now, something is wrong with my lower back. I actually think I pulled a muscle and it's KILLING ME!!! I can barely stand and it's hard to focus in class because it hurts so bad. I have tried alternating ice and warmth on it but it doesn't work. I take three aleve every morning and it doesn't work. Does anyone have any other quick fixes for back pain? Anything OTHER than a doctor's appointment perhaps? (I'm not stupid lol I know I can go there if nothing helps.)

Um, ice won't get you far, it'll make you stiff. Heat, little bits at a time can loosen tightened muscles around your spine. it helps a little. but try taking ibuprophen (Motrin or Advil) when it hurts. and work on strengthening your stomach muscles. because my doctor told me that if you use your abs it takes up to a third of the pressure off of your back. (which will help A LOT in the long run)
