Today was my first day of track. After running almost two miles...I couldn't go any farther. My throat began to close up, my chest felt like it was tightening, i could barely breathe & when i could...it hurt more than anything. Well, I left earlier & my mom took me to the allergist, who said I had Bronchial spasms. They said what I had was an asthma attack, though, and gave me an inhaler. That moment in track earlier was the scariest moment I have ever had in my life, so I'm not sure what to do. Even though they gave me an inhaler, that's just for the coughing afterwards I think. I don't know, but should I continue track or not?
You don't have to abandon exercise entirely though! I personally love walking and weight training. I actually took up karate, and it was one of the best things to happen to me. Swimming is also highly recommended. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
