Math problem Hmmm, I don't get how I'm suppose to set this problem up in order to solve it...can anyone help?
100ft. of fencing is used to enclose a rectangular garden. Determine the possible values of the length of one side [x], if the area of the garden is to be less than 500ft[squared]
a) 0 < x < 13.8
b) 25 < x < 125
c) x > 36
d) 15.3 < x < 500
I'm not asking for the answer but just how to set up the problem so I can solve it and get one of the answers above
Thanks very much!!!

100=2x+2y
500>xy
now solve for y in one of the problems:
y>500/x
and plug this figure for y into the first equation and solve for x!
hope this was helpful! ]
