Highlights/Lowlights

Question Posted Friday February 23 2007, 8:26 pm

Ok so i have light brown hair, cut in layers and i've been wanting to do something to it forever.
i'm thinking of getting highlights or lowlights.
but idk wat colors would look good.
my options are blue, green, purple, black, and the traditional blonde, although im hesistant about the blonde even though it would probably look good on me.

so my question to you is:
what color[s] should i do?
please&thankyou =]

I like the idea of blue highlights, just to be different. If you want to see if it looks good, just dye a small part underneath all of your layers, and then pull the rest of your hair up to see how the blue looks against your hair and your skin. Do that with any color you want to find the best highlight color.

Depending on your complexion...

I used to have streks that where a blondest gold and it look good becauseIm light skin...

But now I have a reddsh-orange color its pretty cute and light colors go well on lightskin people

I think green-is to outthere...
purple-may be cute I like it alot
black-to simple
blonde-depending on your complexion and face, but its always cute....

Hey. It really sounds like you want to do something different from what you wrote. Otherwise you wouldn't have listed all of those bright colors. Deep down you know you want to do a real color but you're probably afraid of how they will come out. I wouldn't worry about highlights because they fade away eventually if it came out bad. But I really don't think it will because if you go to a place where they know what they're doing (pretty much any hair salon) it will come out great. If you're hesitant about blonde that means you probably really don't want it deep down because you want something more colorful. But you could also go with the blonde since it's the most traditional and if you don't like it, get colors next time. My personal favorite color is purple but go with what you feel is right for you. I really hope this helped! =)
