are confidence and self esteem the same thing pretty much? i dont want like a deffintition of them or anything i just want a short answer. thanks yo. =]

no....confidence is knowing you can do something ,like a math problem. self esteem is completly different.

they're really related. if you have high self esteem, then you probably have confidence. if you have high self esteem, that means that you respect yourself and you're comfortable with how you look and act. but if you have no self esteem, then you probably have no confidence. you may hate the way you look, or you're self concious about different aspects of yourself. they're not quite the same word, but they're similar. <3

To me, yes they are closely related. Basically you can't have confidence if you don't have a high level of self esteem and with this self esteem you acheive confidence. Does that work?
