OK, well my Dad had these friends in Texas who were fixing up a car for him, a Jenson Healey car actually and it took a couple years because it was in bad shape at first. Then my dad found this magazine about a Jenson Healey car, and his friends told him about the company that have people come down, they do a photoshoot & you're on the cover! Yes, it's that simple, weird I know. LOL. I don't know what the company name is but I'm going to the photoshoot in a couple of months I believe and I'll find out and get back to you if I can have your email if you don't mind?. It doesn't make you famous (unfortunately =[) But it will get you known better & you'll most likely be recgonized if you'd like to do it. It's not really the runway type of thing, although Fashion Bug has those shows, just not really becoming a model, they just have you model clothes at a fashion show type thing. Now for the tips...
1)Don't be like those girls who want to staples, it looks really, really bad!
2)For magazines, smiling is GREAT, but on the runway type of thing, don't smile too much because it takes away kind of that mystery sense that captures peoples' attention.
3)Always try to be on time. If you can't let the photographer know!
4)If you're talking to somebody you work with in modeling over e-mail or online avoid saying the phrase "Lol" etc. because you won't be taken seriously.
5)When buying new clothes try on something that you wouldn't normally like..I do that all the time & I end up buying the outfit!
6)Avoid Modeling Scams at all costs!
7)If you got it flaunt it! (On a magazine or runway)
8)You'll need a modeling portfolio
I really hope I helped and I good luck with your modeling!
If you need anything else, feel free to email me at starstruckby182@aim.com so we can keep in touch about the name of the company and everything. [ Depressed_Poet's advice column | Ask Depressed_Poet A Question ]
