is there any way to get cars on the sims 2 if you don't have nightlife? if so, how?

i have the nightlife game i just cant find the serial number to it.

I believe you need to buy nightlife for cars, but if you look around on sites like gamespot and google for sims 2 mods you might find something that makes the taxi look like something else. It's still a taxi, but you might be able to make it look nice.
