memorize a joke

i have trouble remembering a joke longer than like 3 sentences

is there anything to help this

maybe i shouldnt try to do it verbatim but it sounds better in the original words the author of the joke wrote

If I need to memorize something, I just keep reading it out loud again and again. Then, I write it down about ten times. That always helps me. Maybe it will help you.
