Cooking really tender Chicken with Vinegar

I was wonder when soaking a whole chicken in vinegar overnight how much vinegar should be used and which type, does the vinegar need diluted with equal parts of water, should I use white vinegar or apple cider vinegar which would make the chicken the most tender?

Well what I use is balsamic vinegar.
It makes the chicken moist and have a tangy taste to it.
Don't put too much vinegar.
I would advise that you put about have a cup of balsamic vinegar in a large ziplock bag, then leave it over night, while cooking the chicken the next morning dump out the sauce with the chicken into the pan/pot that you are cooking the chicken into.
