Hand Gestures
Hey guys,
Hand gestures have been around forever. I don't really understand some of them, though.
What I want to know is:
Was the peace sign originally a sign of "V" for victory or what?
What is the hang loose sign? It's like the telephone sign turned sideways, but what does it mean?
Is the pinky is a curse in Chinese cultures like the middle finger is taboo-ish in the U.S.?
What is the difference between the devil and peace sign? And which sign are people flashing at rock concerts?
And also, what does it mean when someone puts their finger next to their nose?
What does it really mean when someone makes an "X" with their two pointer fingers? Is that the cross sign trying to ward off evil?
