Same thing happened to me, I really didn't ever like reading but I read a book for school over the summer and loved it and I've been reading his books since then. I really recommend Harlan Coben. Any of his books are good, my favorite so far was Tell No One.

His new book is "For One More Day" :) I've read it; it's pretty good. My favorite is still "5 People You Meet in Heaven" but all his books are worth reading.

Anyways, you may also like Sarah Dessen's books. Her first two books were actaully the basis for the movie How to Deal.

I'm also obsessed with the classics, science fiction, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings (read The Hobbit first!) and basically anything else I can get my hands on.

Libraries often have "young adult" sections; browse around there for awhile and you're bound to find something that'll get you hooked.
