i made a forum on advicinators but now how do i tell people on this sight to go to it? like can i put it in a question and post it or can i even put it in a private question or is that considered "advice whoring"? i really dont know. but i love talking 2 people and my computer wont let me connect to that chat room for now im working on fixing that though. could i post a link to my forum in the chat room or is that also not okay?
Mackenzie answered Monday February 5 2007, 3:51 am: Do not post it in a question to the pool. Do not post it in a question in private Inboxes. I suppose you could "post" it in the chatroom, but what would be the point? To be honest, you will either find the chatroom to be empty, or that the occupants won't even care. Besides, if you're already in a live chatroom, why bother to take the time and effort to play tag on a forum?
If you want to inform other users of your forum, copy the URL of your forum and post it in your Bio section on your "Profile Settings" page, which is found under your Inbox link. Or even easier: just paste the URL in the slot for your "Website URL". Hopefully this clears some things up for you. :) [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
