When the person pierces you, they'll tell you in the information on how to clean it, what to clean it with, how long before it heals, etc. If they don't let you know, they're dirty. Make sure you go somewhere clean because most places don't even rip the packaging open in front of you like they're supposed to. You can get all kinds of diseases & infections or whatever. So make sure you're not going anywhere dirty & disgusting. Because most likely, they'll fuck up your piercing. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]

Clean the piercing in the shower every day. it's good to soak some salt water into a clean cotton wool ball and apply it to the piercing for 2-3 minutes or until any crusting is dissolved. It's important to remove all the crusting because it can concrete on the jewellery and tear the inside of the wound causing pain and inflammation. Rinse with fresh water and move the jewellery very gently to ensure that there is no crusting remaining. pat it dry so it doesn't pull it out or tear the skin. basically you just need to be careful. dont change your piercing for 6 months.
