GNU is a copyright liscense that indicates that it's open source. It's like a very advanced version of MS paint. Check out [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) . GIMP is pretty big, the computer I'm using right now doesn't have it installed so I can't say exactly how much. It should work on any computer running XP, but it will be slow. Download it and see if it works for you, you have nothing to lose.
