no the other person is wrong. it means that when the person pokes you, your not him/her friend and is able to see your profile for like a week or two and if you poke back you can see his/her profile for a week or two. atleast thats what ive heard.

its literally just a poke. They'll get a message saying that ".... has poked you." and then they have the option to poke you back or not.
