Try using Dove Extra Volume shampoo and conditioner. its not very expensive. i use the moisterizing kind and i am very very happy with it. i tried the extra volume and it moisturizes too.....put plenty of conditioner on, not tons but enough to cover all of your hair.
as for being notty and stuff...brush your hair all the way through in the morning and beforey ou go to bed. i keep a brush in my locker at school to brush my hair with inbetween classes.
the shampoo and stuff should work
good luck!
hope i helped, if you need any more advice leave me a note in my inbox!

Aside from things like special shampoos and products (I've heard various opinions on whether or not they work), make sure you're eating properly and not too stressed. Stress, and a lack of nutrients, often show up in hair.

In fact, in anorexics (not saying you are; I'm just using this as an example), one of the first signs is hair loss. Their hair thins substantially. So, if you're not eating well, start--you need plenty of protein, if nothing else, because hair is expendable, so the body gets rid of it first.

That said, if it's been like this your entire life, you'll want to look into products, as well as perhaps LIGHT back-combing to give it a bit of a poof. If you use a hair dryer, it can also help if you turn your head upside down when using it--it gives you a little more volume.

hey, well you cant make your hair thicker. your kinda just stuck with what your born with. however you can tease your hair with a pik to add volume. some people dont know what a pik is, so ill show you just incase.

even if your not scrunching your hair and your straightening your hair or whatever, youll still want to put volume gel in it. also you will still want to tease it with a pik. i recommend this volume gel.
