I bled red brown when my boyfriend was fingering me
when my old boyfriend used to finger me (we were both virgins) sometimes he would remove his hand and his fingers would be covered in really dark brown red, it almost looked like blood from my period, but it would be nowhere near the start or finish of my period. Do you know what caused this? Should i be worried?

I would have expected it to be red, but blood can be all kinds of shades I guess. Sometimes very dark brown blood can be the remains of a previous period, but there wouldn't be a lot of this, it would be much thicker than fresh blood, and also wouldn't necessarily only come out during foreplay/sex. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
On another note - I always discreetly check that his fingernails aren't sharp and that he hasn't got any calluses on his fingers e.g. from playing guitar (ouch!)
