Do you mean AutoComplete? Like on Google, where you type in "i" and everything you've ever searched that starts with i comes up? If that's the case, just scroll over the word you want to delete with your mouse (don't click it though) and hit the delete key.
If that's not what you meant, could you clarify your question?
