Desktop computer will not reconize cd-dvd burner with Window

ITunes was having a problem with cd-dvd burner recognition...I reinstalled Itunes and problem went away......however, I checked Windows MEdia Player and it will not recognize my cd-dvd burners...what's up with this.......

Step one, I would uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player. And see if it works. If it doesn't, try going to, "My Computer" and clicking on your C Drive, and see if that doesn't work. Now, if none of this works, I would reinstall all of your drivers. I know, it's a pain, but it's your last resort, in my opinion.

you may need to reinstall your windows media player's buner and retune your windows media players settings

iTunes, in general, is problematic and annoying. You're probably just going to have to pick one or the other (iTunes or WMP) and only use that one.
