hey im the one who asked about the dance thing. well ill go into detail :] well, hes in one of my classes but hes a sophomore. im a freshman.and we kinda talk were kinda just like friends. and i think im gonna ask him to the sadie hawkins dance. but he might wanna go with another sophomore not with a bunch of freshman. it will be nice if he doesnt care but yeah lol im just kinda scared of him saying no. I just need some comfort or confidence so i can ask him. :] im scared of rejection :[

So he's a sophomore, and you are a freshman. That isn't such a big difference. Think of it this way- there will possibly be freshman attending the dance with seniors. Age doesn't always come into play when two people like each other.

But what it boils down to is this: how are you going to really know if he wants to go with you if you don't ask him? He may WANT you to ask him, you never know until you take the steps to find out.

So you are friendly with him, right? I would be willing to bet my hat that the only reason he would say no is if some one else has beaten you to the punch.

As for being scared of rejection, we all are. But you can't go through life not doing things because you are afraid of being rejected. That would make for a very dull life full of "what ifs" and "what might have beens."
