The reason they're illegal is because at these parties, lots of drugs can be found and teenagers are probably having sex and things, and kids could just get into alot of trouble for going to raves and getting caught by the police.

A lot of police like would find this out and then they would have to stop them. So a lot of states have made them illegal. A rave is a party for teens kinda like a one night club.
