dying underneath my hair

my hair looks kinda redish from how i changed the colors in the pic, so the bottom part of my hair is how it really looks. but anways what is it called when you dye you hair underneath? i was thinking about getting black underneath or a reddish color, what do you think? and when you get a color underneath do they put it in the top of your hair too like highlights are? please scroll down to get to my pic!

[Yes your link worked, lol]

-They're called lowlights. I don't suggest it because if you don't like it, it stays in your hair for a very long time.

And I don't think they put the color underneath on top as well. You have to instruct them not to if you don't want that.
