Okay, 2 days ago I shaved "down there." Im a girl, by the way. And now it ITCHES so bad. I dont know what to do! What can I do to make it stop itching..I put lotion on, that didnt really help though.
danecookissexi answered Saturday January 13 2007, 2:40 pm: it itches the first couple times.. just whatever you do *do not dry shave!* i wouldn't put anything on it.. you could try baby powder that always helps.. but after maybe 5 times it wont itch. i don't anymore
PinkLady4863 answered Saturday January 13 2007, 1:16 pm: believe me, i know how you feel. You have razor burn, and I get it everytime i shave down there. Unfortunately, no matter what other girls will tell you this will last a couple days, but you can get some temporary relief. here are some home remedies that i have used in the past...
Dissolve two uncoated aspirins with some warm water to make a thin runny paste. Leave this on your skin for 30 seconds. This works because the aspirin has a drug that will relieve pain and sort of numb the nerves that make it itch. It will not make you feel numb down there haha but it will give you relief.
Also, aleo vera will cure the irritation and redness, but may not do much for the itching
THIS WORKS but it takes a bit mroe work, the oatmeal bath. Add powered oatmeal to a warm bath and soak for fifteen minutes. If no powered oatmeal is available, simply add one cup of oatmeal into a clean sock or nylons and soak in the bathwater. Oatmeal will reduce swelling and itching
i have not tried this before, but my friend brags about how much it works. Apply apple cider vinegar on the razor burn affected area. This will probably burn, but once washed off the itching should stop.
to avoid this ever happening again...
dry shave with an electric razor.
shave it without shaving cream under water while in the bath
