Hey,

Hair can break when points in the hair thicken or weaken. Sometimes this happens near the scalp so a person's hair never grows very long. When hairs break at the ends, they're called "split ends," and the splits can travel up the hair shaft.

A major cause of hair breakage is improper use of chemical hair treatments, like the treatments described above. But brushing or combing hair too frequently or in the wrong way (such as using a fine-toothed comb on very thick, curly hair or teasing hair) can lead to breakage. Hair extensions and braids can also cause breakage. Leaving them in too long or pulling them out without professional help can cause hair and scalp damage or even hair loss.

Sometimes hair breakage and dry, brittle hair are signs of a medical problem, such as hypothyroidism or an eating disorder. If your hair is breaking even though you don't treat it with chemicals or other styling products, see a doctor.

To detangle your hair, use a capful of liquid fabric softener in a quart or so of water. Rinse throughly....ta da!
[This leaves your hair fresh smelling and detangled!]

Hope I helped, and that all goes well!

-Jam

hair breakage is when your hair is either too damaged, dry, or weak which causes it to split or actually break. To detangle hair, make sure you use a conditioner!!! And don't buy a 2-in-1 conditioner and shampoo product because those never work. If that doesn't help, try using a detangle spray. I've never used one, but you can always try! If all else fails, go to a trusted hair salon or one that your friends know, and get your "broken" ends cut off so you have healthy hair. While you are there, ask the hairstylist about some tips she can give you also. Good luck!

Hair breakage is hair breakage. When the ends of your hair break and create split ends. Don't use brush on wet hair, or your hair will break.

You're on the right track, a wide tooth comb is the best for your hair, but if it isn't getting all the tangles, buy something called "Infusium 23", it's sold nearly everywhere. Buy the spray, spray it on your wet hair, and then detangle with the comb.
