ductape_n_roses answered Saturday January 6 2007, 6:03 pm: Okay, first thing is eat healthy. Cut off all junk food and stay away from sodas even if they're diet. Also stay away from energy drinks etc. Drinks lots of water. Let water be your first choice when you're thirsty. Eat lots of veggies and fruits everyday and try to eat good sized meals. Don't skip any because that'll just cause your metabolism to slow down and have your body STORE fat since it won't know when the next meal might be coming.
Then there's exercise. To tone your body, you need to first get rid of the fat on top of your muscles. Do cardio and aerobics. Run everyday or every other day. Play sports with your friends such as tackle football, basketball, softball. Jump roping really gets your heart going. When your fat has come off, then you can start doing exercises to tone your body.
For your inner thighs, do squats, lay on one side and lift your leg up and down. Running will help with your thighs the best actually. Your hips, lay down as if you were going to do curl ups. Instead of having your knees parallel to your body, let the knees go over to one side of your body (Have the lower knee touch the floor) and come up as if you were doing crunches. Another very effective one is by doing this: lay on one side and prop your self up with your feet and elbow. ONLY with those body parts. Your legs and hips should not be touching hte floor at all. Aim to stay up in that position for 30 seconds and switch to the other side. If you're confident enough, bend your arm on the top and put your hand by your ear and reach down to the ground to have your elbow touch the ground. It's really hard to do. For your stomach, there's always the trite and hackneyed crunchs/curl ups. Pilates that aim for your stomach also helps. If my instructions were'nt clear for the toning part, send me a msg because I suck at trying to condense instructions into a paragraph =P [ ductape_n_roses's advice column | Ask ductape_n_roses A Question ]

egotrippn answered Saturday January 6 2007, 4:45 pm: For the parts of the "body" you mentioined, the best in my opinion,"CARDIO" training, this includes, arobics, walking on the tread-mill or outside, sit-ups (not crunchs), and light weight training, and its best to change your "diet", your intake, stay away from certain food groups, like "starches", certain "carbs", but it takes a little dediction, dont think that in one hour your gonna see results, it took time to get there, it will take a minute to get off..its best to set-up a short-tem goal, and keep a daily log, of your schedule, even food...good-luck [ egotrippn's advice column | Ask egotrippn A Question ]
