Dell Inspiron 8600's power cord

Question Posted Friday January 5 2007, 6:58 pm

Hey its Etnies40210. I own a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop and my power cord has a tear in it. I see the exposed cord, and I've been able to for a couple months now. Every night I barrow my dads and its really getting annoying. Can I send it back to dell and will they send me a new one? Or can I make a makeshift, or buy one? (for less than $80) This is really making me mad, I put electrical tape over it and it wont work.
PLEASE HELP!

I am a proud owner of a Dell Insperon E1705 laptop computer. I was reading the owners manual and it said if I had any questions to ask them by e-mail or visit the website. Fortunatley for me, and you, my neighboor's father works at dell and it is friday so I will ask him about your problem.

since you waited so long, they probably won't replace it. You have to report these things right away! They're cheap, though:
