I've noticed that sometimes when I can't fall asleep and I get very few hours of rest,I don't have any problems the next day. Then, other times I'll get enough/a lot of sleep and I'll end up feeling drowsy and sluggish all day.Could someone explain this?

Your sleep goes in cycles, so if you wake up near the end of the cycle, you feel rested, but if it's in the middle you're still tired. I have that problem too, and I just am really particular about when I go to bed and wake up so i always get the same amount of sleep. [ heatherifa2's advice column | Ask heatherifa2 A Question ]

Im just the kind of person that likes to go to bed late and even though its kind of hard getting up in the morning, I feel less drowsy during the day. Its pretty normal, but everyones different. Everyone has a different number of hours they prefer to sleep. Theres nothing wrong with you. Its just when you sleep more, it gets harder and harder to stay up because you've been asleep so long that your body has been on "rest mode." And if you sleep a lot, your body will get used to this and it will be harder to wake yourself up from the groggy, drowsy feeling. Go to bed later at night if you have to.
