I've noticed that each day or so there is a different person on the home page. On my account I checked off the button where it asks if you want to be there some day but I was wondering, do you have to actually apply to e put there or do they just select at random?

They just select a person randomly. I never applied and I was actually on there once.. kinda surprised me haha. But yeah, just answer questions, rate, etc and sooner or later you'll be put there too. (:

yes you do have to click the box if you'd like to be on the homepage
They select people at RANDOM who have agreed and clicked on the box
