birth control pill

i'm on alesse.
how bad would it be if i didn't take the green "reminder pills" this month and just skipped my period altogether?
i know of people that have done it. i just wanna know the risks, etc.

by the way, i am on it for birth control (not just to regulate my cycle) if that makes a difference..

But you already knoew that. :)

You have to have your period sometime, so if you do that every month, then that would be bad. I suggest switching over to Seasonale because Seasonale markets to consumers that it is okay.

well i dont know anything about aleese. but im on seasonal its the one where you have your period 4 times a year, so after every 3 months. i skip the pills that are "reminder pills" as you said i guess, and just move on to the next pack. i do that all the time. nothing bad ever has happened with me..but recently i was on my period for about 12 days..and i hadnt missed a pill or anything. it was just my bodys way of saying i needed to have it i guess. but it wasnt bad and i dont think there are major risks with doing it. as long as you are not taking it for actual birth control, like to prevent pregnancy, i dont see any problem with doing that, and my personal opinion is its much easier dealing with not ever having it =]
