ITUNES USERNAME WITHOUT CREDIT CARD

i am trying to make a username on itunes because i got an ipod nano for christmas. I am planning on using only giftcards for itunes, so i will not use a credit card. But to make a username, along with the name and address and stuff, it has credit card. I dont know what to put there because we dont have credit cards. I tried leaving it blank and it came back up saying it must be answered. Is there anyway that i could get an itunes username without the credit card?
Please answer!! I will rate.

Actually i took some time (actually a lot of time) and played around with it, and figured out how to do it!! Thanks a lot for the ones that gave me answers. I will no longer be rating the question so plz dont answer it..

I'm sorry, but I think it's impossible to use iTunes without a credit card. You should contact the iTunes people though-they might be able to help you =]
