Question Posted Tuesday December 26 2006, 12:22 am
i got a laptop last christmas, its fairly new but lately it's been kind of slow lately. im mostly on the internet when i use it, so thats where ive noticed it being slow. we have dsl though so thats supposed to be kinda fast. i have a lot of pictures on here from my camera when i upload them, so could that be part of it? or am i doing something that makes it slow down? could elaving it on like over night or during the day make it slower or damage it? thankss
Also, it might be your internet browser. If you're using Internet Explorer, I would strongly suggest you switch to Firefox. It's faster, and it's safer. You can find it at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Good luck. If none of those work or you need more elabouration on what I suggested, feel free to let me know. I might have a few other tricks up my sleeve. [ Daimeera's advice column | Ask Daimeera A Question ]

No, the photos you've uploaded only share files or documents and could not interfere with your internet speed. I find, sometimes that if I'm in one part of the house, it's slower than others depending on the connection. Do you have a lot of programs running at the bottom of your screen? If so, maybe close a few. Because if there are around 3 or 4 it slows down. And finally, make sure you've been on safe sites. Porn etc. will make your computer slow down or ruin it. Don't click on any popups such as the ones that say "YOU ARE THE 100TH VISITOR TO THIS SITE CLICK TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE BEFORE TIME RUNS OUT!" or "NAME THIS CELEBRITY AND WIN A PINK RAZOR CELL PHONE FREE AND A LAPTOP OF YOUR CHOICE!" They ruin your computer. Good luck! [ Depressed_Poet's advice column | Ask Depressed_Poet A Question ]
