Hey, I am just wondering,
Have you heard of scolioses? and back brace?
well i have a back brace and i might take it off in 6-8 months if you have a friend or anything that has it. Can you please share me what its like to them? I'm just wondering how other people feel about this.

BlackAngel answered Saturday December 23 2006, 4:45 pm: Well, I guess I'm a little confused by your question, but I'll try my best to answer, since I do have a friend who has scolioses and dealt with the back brace deal.
She had hers for a couple of years and was really good at finding excuses not to wear it because she disliked it. But, she also knew that wearing it was a good thing for her so she kind of...put up with it until she got it off. She was really really excited when the doctor told her that her time with the brace was over and she's super happy to have it gone.
If you're worried about what other people will think because of you having or not having the brace...well, I think a lot of kids get it that there's a reason for the brace and it doesn't mean you're stupid or abnormal. Sure, not everyone's going to know what all you go through with the scolioses, but that can be explained.
Personally I think that it'll be great when you're free of the back brace - my friend always hated how movement-restricting it was.
Hope this kind of answered your question :) [ BlackAngel's advice column | Ask BlackAngel A Question ]
