Graphic Interchange Format (a.k.a GIF)

Question Posted Wednesday December 20 2006, 3:50 pm

Ok I'm in to computer tech and I wanna learn how to do some kind of computer programming. I wanna start with this GIF thing that some people use on their myspace. I googled it and I found a site but it said the picture I wanna upload has to be a .GIF file type thing. How do I make my pictures .GIf files?

you use a converter, or a program like irfanview to open and then save as a different format. That dosn't have anything to do with programing, though, it's just a file type, like BMP(bitmap), PNG(portable network graphic), or JPEG. Programing is languages like C, java, HTML, or javascript. A nice guide to HTML is at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

You can download irfanview at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) Open the file you want to convert, then go to file>save as. Then save it where you want in whatever format you want. To make an animated GIF, take a look at this tutorial: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
