sick and lonely
Hi. I am a sixteen year old girl and a junior in highschool, and I have kidney disease. All of the guys that I like that ask me out, dump me as soon as they find out that I can't do some of the stuff that they can. Also, I have two brothers in Iraq and an ill mother. Whenever a guy finds out any of this he'll avoid me. It makes me mad, but am I being stupid? Is it too much for a guy to handle? The only thing that would directly effect our relationship is that I can't do anything really vigorous. I'm not a sad depressed person either. I'm normal and very happy. Am I being unreasonable to ask for a guy to like me? I would really appreciate your input.

Ugh, these guys must be out of their mind lol. Obviously, they're not mature enough to even handle a relationship in general. OF COURSE you're not being stupid. In my opinion, the guys are the problem, not you hun... I don't want to say look for an older guy, because there are many guys who are 15, 16, etc that are more mature than most, but I would say look around. Don't involve yourself with someone just because you think they're cute and they like you back. Get to know this person, become their friend, dig deep into them, and if they seem like they can accept you no matter what your situation, then go ahead and give it a try. No one is perfect, but you can find someone close ;]

Obviously the guys you are dating are completely stupid!! Sorry, but if they can't handle that, they are completely wrong for you & DO NOT DESERVE YOU! You are so much better than them.
It's not unreasonable to ask for a guy to like you, but you need the right kind of guy. He'll come along! You're sixteen, you're still young, you have your whole life to find someone who's right for you. Don't expect to find him now, because most of the boys at 16 are immature, cocky, and too preoccupied with the wrong stuff to notice all the right stuff. Know what I mean?
Don't get angry. Laugh at them! Laugh at the fact that they aren't smart or mature enough because its true! They aren't. Pity them. Honestly, they aren't even worth your time.

Wait until you're in college, and I'm sure you'll find someone who is mature and won't break up with you because of something you can't control. That is SO lame.

look at it this way..guys that that have brains the size of peanuts thats y they need girl to do all the thinking for them..how dare they do that.its sooo mean!im reallly truly sorry you have kidney disease i mean it hard enough having the disease and on top having your bf leaving you because of it. it just sounds like the pressures to much to handle and so they dont know how to react or what to do so they just run away because its easier that way for them, taking the easy way out. my advise is dont let them in to quickly, wait untill you know they really do love you and really do want to be with you before you tell them anything to personal because eventhough they may look strong deep down theyr no where near as strong as you

They actually do that? Who the hell dumps someone because of a kidney disease?! I'm really sorry. That's just ridiculous. I can't believe the way people think sometimes. That's something that's completely out of your control too, and it's not like it's contagious or somethin. If someone's dumb enough to dump someone over something like that, you're better of without them. You are NOT being stupid, trust me. It's not too much for a guy to handle. They're just being immature, selfish, and flat out LOW. Alot of guys that age are like that anyway. You're not being unreasonable at all; they are. Again, I'm really sorry about this. :/
