Okay, well, I have two firends, let's call them Peggy and Patty (haha idk). And anwyays, we've been pretty close, you know having sleepovers and what not. Well, Peggy and Patty have been very close for pretty much their whole lifes. It was about like, maybe two years ago, when I became close to BOTH of them, when all 3 of us started hanging out. We went to Washington DC for a class trip, and they were int he room with me. I've bene friends wth Peggy for 5 years now. Well, anwyays, lately, since they do basketball together, and even before b-bal season started, they've been having sooo many sleepovers just about everyday, going places together, etc. IT's like they're glued to eachtoher. THey claim that they dn't invite me because they 'dont think my parents will let me'. Now, my parents are prety strict, and sometimes are weird and won't let me go places just because. I'm feeling so left out, and I'm a jealous person in the first place. I don't have any other close firends other than them..so I don't knwo what to do...PLEASE HELP :(
But you have to understand that at your age, everyone's moving on with their friends so Peggy might just be moving on. Why don't you invite Peggy over to your house and talk about the first time you guys met together or even recreate the event in which you guys met. It's a really neat idea. Invite Peggy over for sleepovers and remind her of the good friendship you guys have. Then invite Patty seperately and get to know her better. Just invite them to seperate sleepovers and get to know them both. Show what a terrific friend you are. And for your explanation as to only one of them was invited -- your parents would only let you invite only one person over
Yeah, and if that doesn't work out, make new friends. You three aren't going to be friends for life so why not make other friends in case? Use this time to go out and make new friends. It's not that hard so good luck! [ ductape_n_roses's advice column | Ask ductape_n_roses A Question ]
