I dont know what to do.
Okay, so it goes like this: I'm 14/f and Katy and Cody who are in 10th grade are both my friends (I met them this year) Well, all the girls are in love with Cody and unfortunately I've fallen head over heels for him too. Katy and Cody went out last year and broke up...thought you'd like to know that later on.
So Cody, KAty and I with some other friends sit at lunch together every other day and I always sit next to Cody and across form Katy. Well there was talk going around saying that Cody was all over me (in a good way) at a school event. And well yeah, we were flirting a lot like at that football game--we hugged, he picked me up, he'd put his arms around me several times, etc... and I was really happy because maybe Cody will get the hint that I like him.
Well, at lunch one day I left for a few minutes and in the meantime, this girl named Pam was talking about me. And I didn't know about it until Katy said "I have a really funny story to tell you" in science. So I went "Do tell." and she says "When you were gone at lunch the other day, Pam was like 'I think she(refering to me) likes Cody' and I said no she's like that with everyone"
Now, I don't act like that with everyone. I act like that with Cody and him alone and it's pretty obvious since I don't try to be discreet about it. And what Katy said got me down because she thought it was a funny story and she said that I acted like that with everyone.
I don't know if she's just ignorant and doesn't see reality or if she knew and she didn't want me liking him and said that i acted like that with everyone just to give Cody the feeling that i wasn't flirting with him. Maybe i'm paranoid and imagining things but I don't know what to do with KAty or Cody. I don't want to talk about my feelings and what not with either or both of them. I just don't know how I can hint Katy that I do like Cody and no give her a flat out answer but have her figure it out by herself. How can I hint Cody that I really like him?

well,it might be worse if katy finds out by herself,she'll get the impression you were hiding it from her--and she might be hiding something from you also,she might still like cody,or really she just thinks your a good friend & friendly.one more option is that she could've been covering up for you,saying that just so no one would really no your secret. "Funny story"-thats probably sarcasm.Really though,if Pam thinks you like cody,then you actual friend should see that also,and faster.Well what your doing was deffinatly hinting already.i'd continue with that.i would talk to katy,but not cody just yet. its all your desition. if katys a real friend she wont mind that you like him.but if shes the jealous type,then give more clues to cody and then tell her.Also keep in mind these are you close friends and relationships after you breakup are really not the same.its just akward around you.good luck & i hope it turns out right!!
