Upon reading your question, I too was curious to see how much hair grows in a day. This is what I found:

The average person's hair grows 1/100 inch per day. Assuming you have 100000 hairs on your head, that means all together your hair can grow about 1000 inches in a day.

Pretty cool, huh?

Your hair grows appx. 1/2 inch every month.
So its a very small amount each day.

Good Luck <3
