Question Posted Wednesday November 22 2006, 6:12 pm

My school is have a dance soon and its when you have to dress up nicely in a dress and guys in nice button down shirts and stuff. What kind of dresses de-emphasize the hips and emphasize your waist area? thanks a bunch!

Empire dresses are always pretty and in style but they don't emphazise but rahter hide your waist area.

Try a halter top dress with the sides clinging to your skin and so the dress shows your curvy and thin hips.

if u wanna look pretty, try an empire waist. I don't really have a waist so I know from experience that it helps when it's tighter up top, right below the bust, and then flowy at the bottom. It hides big hips and stuff.

The type of dress I suggest is the type below
The bow is on the waist area and the hips are hidden.
It's the best dress I've ever worn.
