i truly wouldn't recommend you being on top for the first time since penetration through the hymen(if still intact) can be very uncomfortable. Being on top does give you the most control but if you lean foward and raise up your hips he can thrust into you from below. what feels good and what doesnt differs with everyone just remember to talk to each other about it. have fun!! and congradulations.

you don`t have to stay in the that postion the whole time.
some girls like being in control && some don`t.

Riding on top means that the girl is mostly in control and she can feel the penis better. The best way to start is by straddling your husband over his lower stomach and slowly move down towards his penis and then take him inside.
