To avoid eating when you are sad or depressed, you need to get out of the house and do something that you enjoy. Go to the gym if you feel bored and want to eat. Spend time with friends. Whatever it takes to stop eating when you don't need to. Try walking or jogging. Both are good ways to tone stomach muscles and lose weight from the middle.
