-drink green tea as much as possible.
-replace all sodas and juices with WATER. and try to drink about 8 glasses a day.
-replace ice cream with frozen yogurt.
-Try not to snack and just wait until the next meal, but if you can't, eat negative calorie foods.
-exercise at least 35 minutes a day. 3-4 times a week.
-write down everything you've eaten and count up the calories. if you eat 500 less calories a day, you can lose a lot more weight.
-don't eat after 7 30 pm. you can lose up to 10 pounds a month if you don't eat after 7 30.
-Cut back on meats, cheese and fried foods.
-AVOID ONION RINGS,GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICHES, FAST FOOD OR ANYTHING DEEP FRIED.
-Eat Special K cereal with skimmed milk. it's yummy and good for you!

Theres a diet called the 2,4,6,8 diet. Basically 200 calories, 400 calories, 600, 800, then nothing the 5th day. Its designed for fast results without shutting down your metabolism.
Eh. But if you dont want anything too extreme.
I'd say make sure to eat the proper 2000 calories a day, but dont include any fatty products such as candys, chocolate, cookies. etc.
Celery is a good diet food because its negative calories. You burn more calories eating it then it even contains.
Water is also an essential when dieting. You dont want to cause yourself to become dehydrated.
I advise keeping a journal of your calorie/food intake. There are 3000 calories per pound. So if you intake 2000, you know you need to try and burn off half of that.
Basically, general message. Eat healthy (proteins, vegetables, meats, potatoes, fruits)
& exercise enough to somewhat balance your food intake/exercise routine.
Running is good, crunches, situps. If you want to get rid of tummy fat I suggest situps/crunches. Do them right when you get up in the morning because it speeds your metabolism up so you can burn more calories during the day. Something else you can do is wear extra clothes when you run or exercise because it'll make you weigh more so that you can burn off more calories.
Also do exercises before you go to bed.
Its a good routine to get into.
Cold showers = burn calories also
& drinking water 30 minutes before & after you eat makes you retain salt =D
