shaving and deodorant

Question Posted Sunday November 12 2006, 8:18 pm

i heard that if you shave your underarms and use deodorant, you have a better chance of getting breast cancer. i was concerned about this & studys that have been done said that this might be true. how would you even get around either of those?? if you're a girl, you need to shave there and obviously use deodorant. any ideas??

thanks!!

Now when it comes to shaving that is completely false. But when it comes to deodorant studies have found that to be correct on some aspects. Not all deodorant has been found to cause certain kinds of cancer. Research has found that Anti-Perisperant Deodorant can cause breast cancer because you have lymphnodes in your arm pits by your breasts. If you buy regular deodorant read the label to make sure it doesn't say anti-persperent and just says deodorant.

the shaving thing isnt true. however, i did hear that deoderant with aluminum can cause cancer. whether its true i dont know. so just buy deoderant without aluminum in it. they have it anywhere, just look at the ingredients.

False, more than likely made up by someone who doesn't want to shave or use deodarant.
