so we sure to a life of straightedgeness last summer. that must have meant nothing to her cause donovan says drink and her late nights on the phone w/ me become drunk nights ditching me for donovan. this kid is a scumbag and everyone knows and tells her. she doesnt care and really i dont either shes had loser boyfreinds before but this ones affecting my relationship w/ her. she has no interest in our big rockstar dreams anymore.[she basically quit guitar] ive told her shes being a bitch when i called her crying my eyes out but donovan was on the other line and theyll be on late so shed see me tomorow at school. move on to the next freind? shes the one that i call when im like that because we think extremely alike and she knows how to make me feel better. and ive slipped into old habits because shes not there to advice me on my tear filled nights. so i turn to you. -lauren

Ahnee answered Sunday November 12 2006, 9:11 pm: i know exactly what it's like for your bestfriend's mind to be clouded by a random ass-hole boyfriend. The thing is, i think all you can do is stick with her and really try and knock some sense into her. dont tell her "dude, youre an idiot. hes a jerk and you need to leave him" because she will automatically go on the defensive. you just need to explain to her how she's changed and how it's affecting your guys' relationship. although the "its me or him" thing doesnt seem to work because if she picks him itll lead her more deeply into a self-destructive nature, but you need to take care of yourself too. explain things to her and she how she responds [ Ahnee's advice column | Ask Ahnee A Question ]
