I had one random period, and then I didn't have one again for ages and ages, and then it started regularly about 18 months later. Discharge is normal from about 2 years before your period starts, so all it means is you'll be starting sometime possibly in the next year or so. If you're worried about the discharge, you can you pantyliners in your knickers that stop it being in your pants, they work just like really small thin pads. They can make you feel more confident while you're waiting for your period to start.
Hope that helps, don't forget all girls develop at different times, and if you get worried that you're not normal, just have a quick check with a doctor. If theres anything else I can help with, leave me a message in my inbox.
